We are currently seeking dedicated Temporary Accountants for a range of temporary and contract assignments in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Opportunities available include Corporate Accountants, Junior Accountants, Intermediate Accountants, Senior Accountants, Property Accountants, and more.

The role:
As a Temporary Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in managing and analyzing financial data, ensuring financial compliance, and aiding in strategic decision-making processes. Acting as a link between various departments, you’ll gain invaluable insights into financial strategy, expand your professional network, enjoy the challenge and variety of a fast-paced environment, and contribute significantly to the smooth running of the organization.
 
Typical responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and updating accounting records.
• Preparing financial statements and reports.
• Managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Assisting with budget preparation.
• Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
• Complying with state and federal tax filing requirements.
• Analyzing financial data and providing insights to management.
• Liaising with external auditors and managing internal controls.
• Utilizing software to process business transactions like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts.

 
Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
• CPA designation, or currently studying towards CPA is preferred
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (Excel in particular).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues and challenges.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on building relationships with key stakeholders.
• High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks and communications.
