About the Role

As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Your expertise in financial reporting, variance analysis, and tenant accounting will directly impact the success of the company’s property portfolio.
 
Key Responsibilities – How You’ll Make an Impact

• Drive Financial Accuracy – You’ll prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements, ensuring accurate reporting of property income and expenses to support strategic decision-making.
• Optimize Budgeting & Performance – You’ll develop and manage annual property budgets, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable financial insights that drive profitability.
• Ensure Smooth Financial Operations – You’ll oversee tenant billing, manage operating costs, and ensure timely vendor payments to maintain positive financial relationships and cash flow.
• Maintain Compliance & Best Practices – You’ll ensure adherence to financial regulations by supporting internal and external audits and maintaining accurate, up-to-date financial records.

 
What You Bring ✔ Must-Have Qualifications:

• Progress towards a CPA designation (or equivalent certification).
• Previous property management accounting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles & property management software (Yardi, MRI, or similar).
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication & problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.

➕ Nice-to-Have:

• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume accounting environment.
• Additional certifications or training in real estate finance.
