Our client, a prestigious company recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for over a decade, is seeking a professional Receptionist for temporary coverage. This position is crucial for maintaining the company’s standard of excellence during the holiday season and will be based at our client’s head office in Vancouver.

Coverage Dates (must be able to cover all these dates/times):

  • Thursday, December 19, 2024 – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • Friday, December 20, 2024 – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • Monday, December 30, 2024 – 8:30 to 4:30 pm
  • Tuesday, December 31, 2024 – 8:30 to 1:00 pm (shorter day)
  • Thursday, January 2, 2025 – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • Friday, January 3, 2025 – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Your Role:
As the first point of contact, you will be instrumental in providing a warm welcome to guests and ensuring efficient communication within the office. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests, handling phone calls, managing deliveries, and supporting administrative tasks.

Your Responsibilities:

Guest Reception:

  • Greet and welcome guests warmly, ensuring they sign in and notifying the appropriate departments of their arrival.

Communication Handling:

  • Answer and screen incoming calls, take detailed messages, and redirect calls to the correct departments.
  • Manage responses to inquiries on Teams chat function.

Delivery Coordination:

  • Receive and sort incoming deliveries, notifying recipients promptly.
  • Organize and oversee outgoing deliveries, including packing and shipping couriers.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain a tidy reception and mailroom area.
  • Assist with administrative duties as needed, such as filing, sorting, and invoice reconciliation.

Requirements for this Receptionist job:

  • Experience: Must have prior experience in receptionist role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, a friendly and professional demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Availability: Must be available for the specific dates and times required
