Key Responsibilities of this Senior Tax Analyst Job include:

Tax Provision and Compliance Management:

• Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax provisions, financial disclosures, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with international tax filing requirements, addressing queries from tax authorities and coordinating tax matters with global subsidiaries and consultants.

Audit and Reporting:

• Respond to internal and external audit requests, manage Canadian and international tax compliance filings, and engage in various ad-hoc tax projects.
• Support the finance and accounting teams by providing necessary tax information and calculations for financial disclosures and reporting.

Financial Analysis and Strategy:

• Assist in the budgeting process for global tax payments, monitor intercompany balances, and manage updates to subsidiary capitalizations and surplus calculations.
• Provide strategic tax insights to optimize financial performance and compliance.

Requirements for the job:

• CPA designation and enrollment in the CPA In-depth Tax Course.
• 4-5 years of experience in tax practice, preferably within a multinational corporation or public accounting firm.
• Extensive knowledge of tax accounting and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness for occasional international travel.
