Key Responsibilities

Financial Management and Reporting
:

  • Oversee full-cycle project accounting, including preparation and management of budgets, cost allocations, and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting through systems such as Sage 300, and deliver monthly financial statements and variance analyses.

Cost Control and Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain robust cost control systems, ensuring all project expenses are tracked and accurately accounted for.
  • Monitor compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and legal requirements, including managing insurance and bonding for subcontractors.

Billing and Receivables:

  • Manage the invoicing process, from the creation and distribution of client billing packages to ensuring the timely receipt of payments.
  • Handle accounts receivable, resolve billing disputes, and negotiate terms with clients as necessary.

Contract and Subcontract Management:

  • Read, understand, and ensure project setups align with contractual terms, processing all related documentation such as subcontracts and change orders.
  • Act as a liaison with various stakeholders, ensuring all contract-related documents are properly managed and communicated.

Administrative and Operational Support:

  • Maintain and update project-related administrative systems, including databases, distribution lists, and templates for operational documents.
  • Ensure all project documentation is controlled and organized, adhering to both electronic and physical filing systems.

Stakeholder Engagement and Team Coordination:

  • Work closely with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain transparent financial dealings.
  • Coordinate essential project information and financial status updates with project teams and stakeholders to facilitate effective project delivery.

Requirements for the job:

  • Experience in Project Accounting, ideally within the construction sector
  • Proficient in project costing and cost allocation 
  • Exceptional analytical and detail-oriented skills, capable of handling complex financial data and delivering strategic insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills
