Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting Leadership: Steer the Financial Reporting and Compliance aspects of the Accounting function, ensuring compliance with IFRS, policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Monthly Closing Oversight: Supervise monthly closing processes in a key location, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and income statement analysis.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside various teams to ensure precise and timely consolidation of financial data across international entities.
  • Policy Development: Formulate, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures in alignment with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Keep abreast of changes in accounting regulations and evaluate their impact on financial reporting processes.
  • External Collaboration: Manage relationships and coordinate activities with external auditors, banking, and insurance firms, ensuring timely provision of requested information.
  • Process Improvement: Spearhead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and efficacy of financial reporting processes.
  • Internal Controls: Assist in developing and implementing internal controls to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
  • Team Guidance: Provide training and guidance to team members on financial reporting processes, policies, and compliance matters.

Requirements:

  • Professional Certification: CPA Qualification.
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in financial reporting
  • IFRS Knowledge: A robust understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Regulatory Familiarity: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the UK, ideal
  • Team Management: Demonstrated expertise in leading teams and enhancing process efficiencies.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting software.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the US and Canada, ideal
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing production environment, preferred but not essential.
